Roof Rejuvenation for Home Sellers and Buyers in Redington Beach
When a home sale turns up an aging shingle roof, treatment can be an option worth weighing, as long as the roof is sound. We tell you what it does and leave the deal to the people making it.

Where treatment fits in a sale
Sellers sometimes want an older shingle roof looked after before listing. Buyers sometimes get an inspection back that calls the roof aged or near the end of its life. Either way the question is the same: is the roof sound enough for treatment to be worth doing?
We answer that with an assessment on the roof. If the shingles are aging but intact, shingle rejuvenation is designed to add five to seven years to their life. If they are past that point, we say so, which is useful to know at the table too.
What we can say, and what we cannot
A sale has a lot riding on it, so we are careful about every claim.
What we tell you
- Whether the shingles are candidates for treatment
- What the treatment does to dry, stiff shingles
- What it costs on this roof
- What we saw up there, in plain terms
What we will not claim
- That the roof will pass an inspection
- That an insurer will accept it
- That it will raise the sale price
- That it stands in for work an inspector asked a roofer to do
Questions from sellers and buyers
Who arranges the visit, the seller or the buyer?
Whoever is paying for the work, with the other side agreeing. That part is between the parties; we only need access to the roof.
Can it be done before closing?
Treatment takes a few hours on a dry day. Fitting it in before closing depends on the weather and the calendar, so call early and we will tell you what is realistic.
What if the inspection flagged a few loose shingles?
Small fixes like that can be handled in a pre-treatment tune-up. Anything bigger goes to a roofer.
Will you explain the work to an agent?
We can describe what we saw and what the treatment does. What anyone decides from that is up to them.

Tell us what the listing notes or the inspection say about it, and we will tell you if treatment is even on the table.
