Small fixes, done first
Pre-Treatment Roof Tune-Up in Redington Beach
Before a roof is treated, the small weak spots get handled: nail heads that have worked loose, tired flashing, wobbly vents and the odd shingle that has lifted or gone missing.

What a tune-up covers
Exposed nails sealed
Nail heads that have backed out or lost their cover get sealed so they are not left open to the weather.
Flashing resealed
Where flashing meets a wall, chimney or skylight, gaps in the seal are closed up.
Vents and pipe boots secured
Loose vents are fastened down and pipe boots that have pulled away are snugged back into place.
Loose or missing shingles
Lifted shingles are secured and the few that are gone are replaced, so treatment goes onto a complete roof.
Why the fixes come before the spray
Treatment brings flexibility back to the shingles. It does nothing for a nail standing proud or a vent that rocks in the wind. Spraying around those and calling the roof done would be selling you half a job.
Most of what a tune-up handles turns up during the rejuvenation assessment, so you see the list and the price before treatment day is set.
Where it sits in the job
Assessment
Every small fix is noted and priced along with the treatment.
Tune-up
The fixes are done ahead of treatment day, so the roof is closed up before anything is sprayed.
Treatment
The shingle treatment goes onto a roof with no loose ends.
